A power-interruption handoff for Philippines call center operations
Protect staff, active calls, customer promises, and access when a site or home workspace loses power.
The first step is a safe status check. Agents should use the designated channel to report whether they can continue, need to disconnect, or are affected by local safety and connectivity conditions.
Active calls and time-bound promises need explicit treatment. Where systems remain available, record the current state and send the item to a named backup. The receiver should acknowledge it before the handoff is counted as complete.
A backup plan must use approved devices, networks, and access. Staff should not copy customer data to personal tools or travel in unsafe conditions simply to preserve an attendance target.
After service returns, reconcile interrupted contacts, accepted work, missed callbacks, access events, and customer updates. Use the record to test power and routing contingencies without blaming employees for infrastructure outside their control.
