Writing a queue-reassignment note that the next offshore team can use
Explain why ownership moved, what is complete, and which deadline still applies.
A reassignment note should make the move understandable without forcing the next team to replay the entire contact. Name the customer need, completed checks, current status, reason for routing, and the exact next action.
Include the due date, time zone, priority basis, and any customer-facing promise. Separate verified facts from the first agent’s interpretation so the receiver can evaluate the case safely.
Send only information the receiving queue is permitted to access. If the destination is uncertain, use the designated routing owner instead of copying the case into several queues.
Measure successful reassignment by acceptance and useful action, not by departure from the original queue. Returned cases can reveal unclear routing rules, missing fields, or access problems.
