Offshore call center business continuity drills that reveal gaps

Run focused continuity exercises for coverage, access, communications, and safe customer handoffs before an interruption occurs.

Choose one realistic disruption and define the customer promises that must still be protected. A useful drill might test a lost connection, unavailable system, sudden absence, or transfer to an approved backup queue.

Give participants a short scenario, a decision owner, and a time limit. Observe whether the team can reach the contact tree, access the minimum records, communicate a changed promise, and stop work safely when the fallback is not approved.

Document the gap as a concrete change with an owner and retest date. A continuity plan is useful when it changes a routing rule, access list, message, or escalation path—not when it only produces a meeting note.
