Call center repeat contact analysis that finds root causes
Study repeated contacts by reason, promise, and channel to fix the experience behind the metric.
Count repeat contacts only after defining the window and the relationship between cases. A second call about the same unresolved promise means something different from a new question from the same customer.
Group repeats by the first answer, missing follow-up, transfer outcome, and product or policy cause. Read a small sample of records so the category reflects what happened, not only the disposition selected under time pressure.
Assign the top causes to owners and check whether the next cycle changes. A lower repeat rate is meaningful when resolution, note quality, and customer understanding remain sound.
