Call center agent attrition handoffs that protect customer work
Keep open cases, permissions, knowledge, and customer promises intact when a representative leaves a queue.
Begin with the work in motion: callbacks, escalations, appointments, promised updates, and cases waiting on another team. Each item needs a current status, next action, due point, and receiving owner before access is removed.
Separate knowledge transfer from credential transfer. Share approved queue guidance and examples through the right repository, but never pass personal passwords or leave a departing user active for convenience.
Review the first week after a transition for repeated contacts, missed promises, and misrouted work. Those signals show whether the queue needs stronger notes, backup ownership, or a clearer leaver checklist.
